Broader Impacts:
The primary educational mission of this INFEWS team is to inform our audience on interactions between CA’s wildland, storage and cropland subsystem, and tradeoffs involved in management decisions. We will accomplish this mission by communicating with peers, stakeholder education, media projects, and graduate and undergraduate experiences. We use water as the primary context for sharing this information with CA audiences. A key part of our broader impacts is the dialog we are developing with stakeholders to develop a decision support tool. The KTAN workshops will be designed for two-way communication, both to share our research findings as well as to gather information on stakeholder decision-making processes.
